The Ballard Event Venue Celebrates its Grand Opening in Draper

Draper, Utah, September 18, 2024. Ballard Venues is celebrating the grand opening of its first event venue named The Ballard.
The Ballard is a wonderful location for any event from corporate off-site meetings or private gatherings to amazing weddings and other celebrations. The Ballard offers a very upscale environment combined with very calming decor and antiques. The Ballard has a large main hall with lots of windows and one wall of tall windows that completely opens so that your event can have a true indoor/outdoor feel.
The Ballard also has 2 private rooms. The “Groom’s Room” has a definite masculine and comfortable vibe for a private meeting or to prepare for the big event. The “Bride’s Room” is wonderfully decorated and offers a very calming environment to visit and relax, including a private restroom.
The Ballard’s large prep kitchen offers plenty of room for caterers and staff to serve your guests. The kitchen has service entrances so that staff can work without interrupting your event. It also includes dual sinks, a large ice maker, refrigerator and a freezer.
The Ballard’s large observation deck has amazing views of the entire Salt Lake valley from the Oquirrh (west) to the Wasatch (east) mountains and from Antelope Island (north) to Utah county (south).
The Ballard maximizes the breathtaking views and luxurious ambiance to create unforgettable gatherings. The Ballard is located high above I-15 exit 289, at “the point of the mountain”, which offers very convenient access from Utah and Salt Lake Counties.
The owner, Cynthia Thorsen, is a very experienced event planner, she carefully considers layout design, lighting, and decor, all while keeping your goals at the forefront in the planning process and day-of service. Her expertise in managing timelines and budgets allows her to deliver impressive results without compromising quality.
Cynthia is a multi-generational Draper native and she named The Ballard in honor of her Draper family. She is an accomplished florist with a creative flair for the unique and special arraignments. She is well known in the Utah wedding and event community. From decorating floats for the Rose parade to humanitarian adventures, Cynthia is completely dedicated to service and helping to improve the lives of others. It is no surprise that her clients are always very happy to work with her again and again.
